Georgia Music Partners is excited to announce that Representative Amy Carter of Valdosta will be introducing legislation that if passed would create thousands of new music industry job opportunities.
The Georgia Music Investment Act or HB155 is designed to lift Georgia’s music ecosystem. This legislation resembles Georgia’s successful film and video game incentive not only creating new jobs but also providing a significant boost to Georgia’s economy overall.
The recommendations are based on three areas that will stimulate the entire music industry in the state. In recent years, we have seen businesses and talent leave for other markets. This incentive will help us compete with other strong music markets.
1. Musical recording.
2. Recording/scoring for film, television or video games.
3. Tour origination and rehearsals
