GMP’s New Year Reception

GMPtemp Blog

Last week on January 8th GMP hosted a special reception to celebrate Georgia’s Music Industry. The event took place at Pandora’s ATL offices and attended by a diverse representation of our music community including artists, managers, promoters, educators, various service providers, and more. We knew the evening was a success when folks kept saying they ran out of business cards mid-way through (smile).

This event would not have been possible if it wasn’t for our community and our sponsors. We thank our event hosts, Pandora, and our event sponsors, Bennett Thrasher and the Dekalb Entertainment Commission, for making the GMP reception possible — and 360 Media for the wonderful production of it.

GMP is an all-volunteer advocacy coalition that exists because we believe that music matters in our communities, in our schools and in our economy. Georgia grown music continues to top the charts in all genres, from rock and gospel to classical and hip hop and EVERYTHING in between. We look forward to making some noise in 2020 by promoting and nurturing increased partnerships with public, private and educational institutions to help highlight Georgia grown talent. Please follow our work here and in social channels, join our efforts, and donate if you can.
