We are thrilled to have 2 special guests at our Quarterly Meeting on October 7th. If you are interested in learning more about composing for film, tv, video games, sound design and audio directing, you don’t want to miss it.
One of the speakers spotlighted at the meeting will be Chris Rickwood, recently referred to as the “Mozart of Madden.” Rickwood is an award winning composer whose sound credits include SMITE and Madden and over 40 games for Cartoon Network. Video games out perform theater and DVD sales, and as games move into interactive experiences, music holds a key to the success. Rickwood’s compositions create drama and suspense within the games. His work ranges from catchy melodies underscoring fights to massive soundscapes suitable for destroying empires. Blending the traditional with the modern, his musical style is often a marriage of current musical genres with traditional instrumentation and orchestration.
